With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Alley, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated educator, who peacefully departed this world on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the age of 94.

Nancy was born on July 24, 1931, in the serene county of Dorchester, Maryland, to Samuel A. Lawson and B. Golda Lawson. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings, who welcomed her with open arms into the great beyond.

Nancy dedicated her life to shaping young minds as a committed teacher for 22 years. She spent the first 12 of those years enlightening students in Dorchester County, where her roots began, and later continued her impactful teaching career for an additional decade in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Her passion for learning and devotion to the education of others left a lasting impression on countless students, colleagues, and communities.

Upon retiring from her career in education, Nancy enjoyed the tranquil beauty of Maine, where she found peace and joy before eventually returning to her residence in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience with her cherished family: three children, a devoted sister, ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts. Nancy's nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.

As we celebrate her remarkable life, we reflect on her nurturing spirit, unwavering dedication, and the profound impact she made on those around her. She was a beacon of strength and kindness in the lives of everyone she encountered, and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

A private family service will be held to honor her memory.

May Nancy's gentle soul rest in eternal peace, her life a testament to love, resilience, and dedication.
