Nancy Ann Morris Borgman, born on July 20, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Michigan went home to her heavenly mansion at the age of 85. She passed away peacefully in her Magnolia, Texas home on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her husband and three daughters.

Nancy was the firstborn child to Lyle and Ruby Morris. Nancy, the oldest of six children, lost her mother at the age of eight years old. She took over the job of caring for her five younger siblings. Losing her mother at such a young age helped to shape her nurturing spirit. People who were blessed enough to be on the receiving end of one of her hugs often commented that she gave hugs like no other. Every one of her nieces and nephews have been overheard saying that no gives hugs like Aunt Nancy.

Nancy met her husband, Richard, on a blind date the last weekend of January in 1958. Rich proposed to Nancy that April and they married on August 9, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nancy then began her career as a homemaker and began raising their four children as well as taking care of her niece and nephews.

Richard and Nancy felt God calling them into full time ministry. They sold their house on 41st Street in Grand Rapids in the summer of 1970. Richard began his studies for the ministry that fall semester at Marion College in Marion, Indiana, thus beginning her new career as a pastor's wife. After Richard graduated from college, the ministry took them to Parchment, Michigan where their fifth child was born. After serving two years in Parchment, Michigan they moved the family to the hills of Kentucky. While pastoring church in Wayland and Garrett Nancy attended night classes and finished her high school education.

The following year they moved to Lancaster, Indiana. While pastoring Lancaster Wesleyan Church, Nancy began an additional ministry through her career at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, Indiana. Nancy served as a nurse's assistant, a geriatric technician and a qualified medicine aide. Her patients adored her for the loving care she provided. Nancy attended to each or the resident's idiosyncrasies and went out of her way to ensure their comfort.

After retiring from the Warren Home, Nancy became a professional Nana beginning with the birth of Lauren McDowell. Being a Nana came naturally to her. It brought her tremendous joy during the transitions in her life.

Etna Green, Indiana was their final place of full-time ministry. It was here that Nancy was truly appreciated for all her wonderful gifts. The members of this church would tell Richard, "We like you, preacher. But we LOVE your wife!" Here she developed several close friendships and got to have some "girl time" which was something she had never experienced before.

Upon retiring from full time ministy, Rich and Nancy moved to Magnolia, Texas. Nancy continued her duties as a professional Nana with her granddaugher, Jilliann and volunteering in her daughter's classrooms. She also developed some special bonds with ladies at the Woodlands Community Church of the Nazarene where she and Rich served as the Ministers of Visitation.

During her time raising five children, Nancy loved gardening and canning vegetables. A skill she passed on to her son, Rick. She also was a talented seamstress. This talent was passed on to her daughter, Debbie. Nancy enjoyed collecting dolls, Beanie Babies, McDonald's Happy Meal toys, wheat pennies, bicentennial quarters and the United States quarters. Nancy gave a collection of each state quarter to every one of her children's families.

With so much love to give, Nancy also adored her dog, Ginger, a rescue from Hurricane Katrina. After losing Ginger she doted on her little Susie Q. Most importantly, Nancy loved Jesus and her family.
