Nancy Jean Brightman

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Nancy Jean (Fowkes) Brightman passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013. She was a loving mother and she will be greatly missed by the family she has left behind. Nancy graduated from Buchtel High School and she attended Akron University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and a longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She was a member of St. Margaret's Guild and she prayed for many people during her years on the prayer group at St. John's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton, her parents, Herbert and Dorothy Fowkes, her sister, Kathryn Beroset (Jack), her brother, Herbert Fowkes, Jr. and her nephew Peter Fowkes. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) and Sharon (Centerville, Ohio); her grandchildren, Stephen (Carrie) Brightman (Stow, Ohio), Michael Brightman (Denver, Colorado), Shaun (Jennifer ) Patsy (Mason, Ohio) , and Meghan Patsy (Lexington, Kentucky); great-grandchildren, Addison and Declan Brightman; cousin, Stuart Pearson; sister-in-law, Delores Fowkes; and many nieces and nephews. In her memory, donations can be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 2220 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial at Glendale Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
