Nancy Gail Chaput

Nancy Gail (Oswalt) Chaput, 72, of Grandview Washington passed away peacefully the morning of February 27th, 2026, at Banner Desert Medical Center. The celebration of life services will take place at Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory March 13th at 2pm.

Nancy was born in Grandview Washington at the US army Hospital on August 14th, 1953, to Delbert Leigh Oswalt and Helen May (Leininger) Oswalt. Over the life she lived in Washington, Colorado, Vermont, Nebraska, Alaska, Oregon, Nevada, and California before passing in Mesa, Arizona where she lived with her son for several wonderful years. She was a hardworking, diligent person and was beloved at every place she worked and even she retired.

Nancy Chaput's hobbies were reading, doing puzzles, thrifting, yard sailing and enjoying coffee and teas. She was a cowgirl at heart and showed that same gumption andspirit throughout her life. Nancy will be remembered for her Selflessness and kindness to others, her ability to make friends with everyone, by her giving nature and her smile.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Chaput. She is survived by her son Charles Chaput, her dog Dumpling, and her siblings Ron Oswalt and Connie Lusby, and their respective children and grandchildren.
