Nancy Chiaverini Obituary
Nancy (Claus) Chiaverini, 87, of Duluth, MN, passed away Monday, September 16th, 2024.
Born to Alois and Mary (Povroznik) Claus on October 29th, 1936, in Eveleth, MN. Nancy graduated from Eveleth High School.
Nancy married her husband, Raymond, on June 22nd, 1957, in Eveleth. They had two children, Jerry and Jill, and raised them in Duluth.
Nancy and Ray enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Lake of the Woods fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed gardening and had a love for animals and birds. Her most precious moments were spending time with her family. Nancy had a kind heart, great sense of humor and always had a smile on her face.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents, Alois and Mary; sisters, JoAnne Lindgren and Dorothy Cronkrite; and brother, James Claus.
Nancy is survived by her son, Jerry (LoraLee) Chiaverini; daughter, Jill (Jay) Bergman; grandchildren, Nicole (Patrick) Scharte, Kyle (Sarah) Chiaverini, Clair (Dakota) Juarez, Savannah Swanson, Danielle (Randy) Lieser, Troy (Desiree) Bergman, and Nicholas (Melissa) Bergman; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jeanette (Jack) Curphy, and Lorraine (Joe) Mayasich.
Visitation will occur on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 10 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (151 W. Linden St. Duluth, MN 55811).
