Nancy L. Chik

Nancy L. Chik (maiden name Edrington), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 71. Loving wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Matthew Joseph Chik; beloved daughter of the late Clifford and Anne Edrington; devoted mother of Michael Richardson (and partner Tiffany Casey); cherished grandmother of Tori Dorough (and husband Andrew) and great-grandmother of Donovan and Charlotte Dorough; dear sister of Cindy Norton (and husband Jimmie) and Darlene Jacobs (and husband Danny); treasured aunt of Lanae Ekstrom (and husband David), and great-aunt to Aiden Barks and Ava Ekstrom.

Nancy cherished her family and friends above all else. A social butterfly, she valued her relationships with others highly. She acted as a true confidant to many over the years. She was always willing to lend an ear or give advice with no judgment. Her charitable spirit was evident in her constant willingness to help others, even complete strangers. She served as matriarch for all, “adopting” anyone who needed a family into her own. Her positive outlook on life and immense strength in the face of adversity was a true inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Nancy also held a deep love for animals, nature, and creativity. She was a dedicated worker. Nancy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Nancy's name to St. Louis Stray Rescue or American Cancer Society.
