Nancy Herndon Clapp

One of my favorite summer memories was of Aunt Nancy and our mother, Mary, spending their summer days talking for hours on our dock on Lake Champlain, in Grand Isle. They looked like twins sitting together in their cotton Hawaiian bathing suits, while we played for hours in the water around them. This was such a special time for them to have that time to share their worlds with each other and their own memories of summering in the same camp, as girls. Nancy was a very special lady and my very favorite aunt. I'll miss her, especially during the summers in her beloved MaNewNa, our camp named by their father by combining the first few letters of his childrens' names; Nancy was the youngest of the three and deeply loved by her entire extended family. Rest well, Aunt Nancy ~
