Nancy Carol Collette

Nancy Carol Collette, age 82, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 5:50 am Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Per Nancy's request no services will be held.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia.

Nancy was born on May 1, 1942, in Rockford, IL the daughter of Leo and Phyliss (Hammond) Clark.

She was united in marriage to Wesley Collette on October 7, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2011.

Survivors include her two sons, Calvin Collette of Vandalia; Barry and wife, Nancy Collette of Vandalia; one daughter, Dee Ann Thomas of Vandalia; three grandsons: Fernando Zubia Jr., Jacob Collette and Kyle Collette; one great-grandson, Mason Zubia.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy Pettey, Mary Lou Jennings and Donna Wolf.

Nancy worked as a CNA at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Mason City, IA. In 2004 Nancy and Wesley moved to Vandalia to be closer to their family.

Nancy enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed tending to her garden, knitting and crocheting. Her biggest love was family and she cherished every moment spent together with them.
