Nancy DeMichael

Nancy DeMichael - Nancy DeMichael, age 92, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Derby on March 25th, 1933, Nancy was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Maria (Tarquinio) DeMichael.

Nancy was the beloved Aunt of Joseph, Donald, Christine, Joseph, Lisa, Patricia, Robert, and Richard, and Great-Aunt and Great-Great-Aunt to many beloved grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Anthony, Joseph (Philomena), and Pasquale (Lucille), and a sister Liberta (Ettore) Bellucci.

Nancy worked for the State of Connecticut - Department of Transportation for 50 years until her retirement. A devout Catholic and active parishioner of St. Jude's Church for many years, she held a strong devotion to the Virgin Mary.

Nancy lived her faith not only in prayer, but in how she showed up for others. She built a devoted family of friends who remained close throughout her life. A true child-whisperer, she delighted in spending time with children, who were drawn to her youthful, mischievous spirit. She leaves behind many godchildren, grand-nieces and nephews, and generations of children who knew her as family and will cherish her legacy of generosity, presence, and care.

On Monday, December 29th, 2025, friends may call from 9:30-10:30am at the Edward Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT. Her funeral procession will depart at 10:30am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, 212 Elizabeth Street, Derby. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, 219 New Haven Avenue, Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be be made in Nancy's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
