Robert Thomas “Tom” Poynter, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family November 11, 2023, in Brownsburg, Indiana. He was born December 22, 1946, in Indianapolis to Harold & Edith Poynter.
Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
Tom is survived by his children Donna Cummings, Tammy (Kerry) Henson, Angie (Avery) Preddie, and Susie (Charlie) Vannice; grandchildren Jeff, Trisha, Josh, Madalyn, Akil, Asher, Adler, Andon, Noel, and Neve; his siblings Dick (Janet) Poynter and Linda Poynter; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pat Poynter, and his son-in-law Curt Cummings.
