Nancy (Dille) Dunbar of Winona, MN, died Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 91. She is survived by three daughters: Vicki (Bill) Gersting, Carol Girard, and Diane (Tom) Buswell; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Nancy grew up in Angola, Africa, a child of missionary parents. She met Wayne in 1954 and they married two years later. For the next 69 years they did everything as a couple, until Wayne passed away 3 months ago.
Nancy and Wayne spent their lives in service to others. Together they built schools and clinics in Liberia, and Sierra Leone, Africa; built houses with Habitat for Humanity in Winona County; opened their home and hearts to many foreign exchange students and countless others who needed a safe place to live for a while
Nancy loved to camp and after retiring enjoyed travelling with Wayne.
She will be deeply missed, but is once again exactly where she belongs...with Wayne, her life-long partner.
