Nancy Crumpton Eagle

Nancy Crumpton Eagle was born on April 17, 1934, in Rockingham County, NC. She had a good and blessed life. She felt fortunate to have two daughters, Denane Baldwin Owen and husband Harold and Lisa Baldwin Byrd and husband Ronnie. Her three beautiful granddaughters are Dr. Christina Owen Beck and husband Chad, Constance Owen McCall and husband Ryne, and Amber Nicole Combs. Her pride and joy were her three great grandsons, Jacob Owen Beck, Cameron William Beck, and Finn Owen McCall; step-grandson Matthew Brooke Pierce and wife Kiva; and three step-grandchildren, Amelia, Evangeline, and Issac.

Her husband, Harold, was a kind and giving man. She told her children the best present he ever gave her was teaching her how to play golf. Golf was her passion, and she spent years playing with eight (Elite 8) her special friends. They played at Alamance Country Club Golf Course and traveled to the mountains and beach. During her years of playing, she was fortunate enough to make two holes in one at Alamance Country Club.

She was fortunate to have a special friend in her life, Dixie Sizemore. Dixie was more than a caregiver; she was a trusted companion and confidant.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Deward Clifton Baldwin and second husband, Harold Eugene Eagle; mother and father, Ruby Apple Crumpton and Witcher Mead Crumpton; brother, Reuben Mead Crumpton; sister, Caren Crumpton Walker and her husband Eugene; and son-in-law, Jimmy Combs.

A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
