Nancy Anne (Kline) Edwards was born November 5, 1950 to Earl and Esther Kline, in Seattle, Washington. Nancy graduated from high school in Falls Church, Va. On March 23, 1973 she married John L Edwards. Nancy passed away at Vista Grande Inn on January 8, 2017. Nancy and John moved from Virginia to Denver, Colorado in 1976 and fell in love with the region. Nancy worked for Travelers Insurance as an adjuster and John went to work for Rio Grande Steel. Together they continued their tree trimming small business that they started in Virginia. Nancy's experience in the insurance business was a good basis to starting her own business in the smoke, fire, and water restoration work. She was the President and owner of a Restorx franchise and earned a reputation for honest, dedicated, and speedy recovery for folks suffering a tragedy in their home or business. Although Nancy never had children of her own, she was affectionately known as "Granny" to her numerous nieces and nephews. She had a giving heart and was always willing to do anything to be that second Mom or Grandma when needed. Nancy and her husband John were very involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews and provided a home for them during their college years. Nancy and John owned a home in Parker, Colorado with their beloved Basset Hound "Lowrider" and pet rabbit, "Jack". In her free time, Nancy could often be found at the local bingo hall. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed the socialization and occasional win. In 2007, John and Nancy retired and returned to Virginia and settled in the southern part of the state near where John was born and raised. Unfortunately, John suffered a heart attack and passed February 6, 2012. Nancy stayed in the local area for another 2 years and then moved to Tennessee to be near John's brother and family. In December 2015, when her health began to deteriorate, Nancy moved back to Colorado to be near her oldest sister, here in Cortez. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John L Edwards, her mother and father. She is survived by sisters, Earline (Floyd) Franklin of Cortez, Co., Carolyn (Jim) Stettner-Pavitt of McClean, Va. and Diane (Larry) Bernstein of Gaithersburg, Md. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a beloved member of her family. Nancy will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.

I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing and my condolences to the family. As my neighbor in Virginia we spent many afternoons together enjoying outdoor activities. She will surely be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the extended family. Granny Lee, during the last couple decades I have been part of this family, you were a significant person to me feeling welcome and loved. So many silly memories of camping with "Lowrider", glub glubs, going out on clean up jobs and just sharing time with you and John in Parker, Virginia and Australia during Steve and my wedding/ honeymoon. I was glad to see you join the family for Thanksgiving and know you were cared about and cared for to the very end. Aloha Granny, you've left your mark on so many lives and your memories will be cherished.
