Nancy Jean Finley
November 11, 1948 – December 7, 2025
Nancy Jean Finley, 77, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025 at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Born on November 11, 1948 in White Plains, New York, to her parents William and Ruby Harrison.
Nancy lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and many friends and much love for her horse named King as he was very special to her.
She lived in New Jersey most of her life growing up and got married at a young age and had 3 beautiful daughters and 1 and only son Chris by her then first husband.
Nancy then went on a journey across the United States and that is where she found Watertown SD. There she would settle and have 1 more last child a daughter with her second husband.
Nancy was also proceeded in death by her grandson Justin Williams of Watertown SD and two older sisters.
One who is Lois Risch who lived in Lakewood NJ and Marion Curry who resided in Watertown SD.
Nancy worked at The Guest House Inn for about 15 years that is where she resided. Although she retired she continued to run the front desk and loved her free time with her kids, grandchildren and many friends of the Dakota Sioux Casino, She loved playing the slots and hanging out with everyone.
Through out the years, Nancy also found a love for baking and cooking in her spare time. Her Christmas candy and deserts were loved and will be very much missed.
Nancy was a proud mother to five children, daughters Lisa, Sandy, Tracy, and Carrie, and her son Chris. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her endless joy and
happiness. Her family was truly the center of her world, and she created a warm, welcoming home where everyone felt cared for, loved and supported.
Nancy will be remembered for her incredible strength, her gentle heart, and the deep love she shared with her family and everyone around her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
We will miss you forever, Mom, and thank you for being the wonderful person and mother you were. We love you. Until we meet again
