Nancy Catherine Frick (née Brady), born March 26, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully in San Diego on October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Frick and the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family. She is survived by her children Michael (Janelle) Frick, the late Edward (Kimberly) Frick, Mary (Robert) Madden, Patty (Jim) St. John, and Lynn (Ron) Boyd.
Loving grandmother of Erinn (TJ) McKiernan, David (Sarah) Frick, Lindsay Creel, Sarah, Edward, and Liza Frick, Sean (Katie) Madden, Michael (Breanna) Madden, Jamie (Ryan) Humphrey, Jessica St. John, Jennifer (Joseph) Kodadek, Julia (Joshua) St. John Arias, and Brooke Boyd.
Cherished great-grandmother of Avery, Jack, and Cole; Austin, Maddie, and Carter; Tyler, Ella, and Luke; Miles and Desmond; Charlie and Annabelle; Roman; and Grace, Annabelle, and Emilia.
Nancy spent most of her life in Park Ridge and Lake Forest, Illinois, before relocating full-time to San Diego 20 years ago. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Mary, Seat of Wisdom Parish in Park Ridge, and later of San Rafael Parish in San Diego. She was a proud member of the Mary, Seat of Wisdom Women's League, played competitive tennis as part of the Park Ridge Women's League, and enjoyed many hobbies including biking, sewing, and especially cooking for her family's large Sunday gatherings.
Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her unwavering love and care for her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother whose elegance, warmth, and steadfast faith touched all who knew her.
A private family service will be held at a later date in San Diego, California.
