Nancy Furka Obituary
Nancy was born on September 17, 1961 in Newark, NJ which is where she was raised before settling in Forked River. More than anything, Nancy enjoyed the beach, crafting, traveling, the mountains of West Virginia, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Nancy is survived in life by her son and his wife, Mark and Marissa Furka; daughter and her husband, Linda Furka and Nicholas Lampo; daughter and her husband, Nicole and Raymond Robinson; six grandchildren Isabella, Mark Jr., Adriana, Juliana, Nico, and Wrigley; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who are considered to be family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Furka; her parents Edward and Stella Novak; her brother Edward Novak Jr.; and her mother and father-in-law John and Catherine Furka.
A Viewing will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 4 and Friday from 9:30 am -10:15 am at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mary's RC Church, 747 West Bay Ave, Barnegat, NJ 08005. Burial will follow at Good Luck Cemetery, Lanoka Harbor.
All are welcome to join for a repass at the Captain's Inn in Forked River following the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations in Nancy's honor to Ocean of Love, Inc. (www.oceanoflove.org).
