Nancy Moon Gilbert

Nancy Moon Gilbert, 71, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 30, 1954, Nancy spent most of her life in Dawson County. She was a graduate of Dawson County High School and member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Nancy worked as a supervisor in the poultry industry, spending most of her career at Fieldale until her retirement. She loved being outside, gardening and working hard alongside her husband. For over 20 years they had a booth at the farmer's market in Dahlonega. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ann Moon and siblings, Johnny Paul Moon and Harvey Moon.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne Gilbert of Dawsonville; children, David Gilbert (Melissa) of Dahlonega, Kristie Gilbert of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Dalton Gilbert, Liliann Gilbert; siblings, Frank Moon, Dixie Farrell, Jimmy Moon, David Moon; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Dawsonville. Rev. Allen Swafford will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 17 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon.
