What a wonderful teacher! I had the pleasure to work with Nancy at E.D. Williams. She touched the lives of many children.

We just heard of your mother's passing. We send our most sincere condolences. We recall many occasions fondly of visiting and good times during the hockey season. She was a gracious lady, mother, wife and teacher. We think often of your family and wish you all well. May family, friends and memories sustain you always. Fondly, Don and Ila Black

Nancy was such a delightful, sparkling addition to our group of friends at the Shoreview Community Center. My husband, John Hanson, and I miss her sweet kindness and sense of humor. We are lucky to have known her.

Nancy was a fine teacher and a marvelous colleague at Emmet D. Williams Elementary in Roseville. We worked on many musicals together and she was a master at creating charming costumes for the second graders. Her positive attitude and cheerful collaboration made working with her a lot of fun. She was outgoing and friendly to everyone and was always ready to give newer teachers the benefit of her years of experience, both as a teacher and as a parent. We can all remember a life well lived.

She was a beautiful woman. Was more fashionable than I ever was! She taught me be example to be strong and independent and to always follow my dreams! She taught me to sew. She taught me the importance of spending time with and having fun with family. I feel so blessed-I had such a fun childhood filled with so many great memories. God Love you Mom!

Mom had such a good life as you can see from the posted photos. Alzheimer's disease cruelly took the many great memories from her later in her life. Yet she made the most of what time she was given and cherished her large family throughout her life. She lived in love from her husband Don, and from all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Having 5 children before she turned 27 did not change her ambition of becoming a school teacher. When all five children were in school, Nancy enrolled at the University of Minnesota and received her degree in 1966. She went on to teach for 35 years, impacting many young lives from the Roseville area. We were very proud of our Mom!
