She was a graduate of College Park High School in 1952 and it was there where she met and married Donald R Vansant Sr, who preceded her in death.
For several years, Nancy & Don ran a 'Mom and Pop' restaurant in Lebanon, Tn by the name of Nanny's Shanty. Other than that, she mainly was a homemaker.
Nancy enjoyed working on her family tree and spending time with her family. She loved to travel and take day trips to wherever her children wanted to take her.
Nancy is survived by 3 children, Vicki (Doug) Hauseman of Castilian Springs, TN, Donald Jr (Becky) of Huntsville, AL & Bambi (Ed) Grooms of Murfreesboro, TN. 6 Granchildren, Jennifer Childs, Wendi Silberman, Ryan (Bethany) Shelton, Megan Vansant, Daniel Vansant, & Bryan Conn. 3 Great Grandchildren, Aubin Azuriah, Sumiyyah Azuriah, & Dana Conn.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Martin Luther Grissom, Jr, Thomas Grissom & Maurine Grissom Small.
