Nancy Hatcher Obituary

Nancy Carlene McClure Hatcher, 90, of Canton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025.

She was born May 4, 1935, in Quill, to the late Benjamin "Ora" Theodore McClure and the late Lillie Marie Fowler McClure. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her family and pets dearly. She was employed by the Fulton County School System as a custodian. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard William Hatcher and brother, James McClure.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda (Robert) Collett, of Canton, Sue (Steve) Collum, of White, and Amy (Greg) Merlo, of Canton; sister, Irene Pierson, of Blue Ridge; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

A graveside service to honor her life was held Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with the Robert Collett officiating and Sharon Rogers performing the vocals. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: David Collett, David Linder, Greg Merlo, Tyler Bennett, Austin McClure and William Young.
