Nancy Lee Heathman

Nancy Lee Heathman, age 79 of Centerville, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle with dementia. She is survived by her children Lisa Heathman and Jimmy Heathman; sister, Barb Renfroe; grandchildren John, Bradly, Josh and Maddie; great-grandchildren, Layla, Lilly and Julian; sister-in-law, Lyn McGee; nephew-in-law, Bob Rhein; as well as numerous extended relatives and many friends. 

Along with her parents, Clifford and Dorothy Taylor; she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James "Jim" Heathman, Sr.

Nancy was born in Springfield, Ohio and spent most of her early years in Bethesda, Maryland. In 1965, she met and married the love of her life, Jim Heathman and together they raised their family in Dayton, Ohio. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before Jim passed in 2016. After being a stay-at-home mom, Nancy built a career in the real estate industry working for Keyes-Gateway Realtors and then later for Irongate Realtors for many years. She loved her job and made many lasting friendships before her retirement in 2014. Nancy adored dogs (especially German Shepards!), spending time with her family, reading and being outdoors. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 3-6 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459).
