Nancy Hendershot Obituary
Nancy moved to Florida in 1980 from Bangor, Pennsylvania, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and simple joys. She dedicated 24 years to customer service at Walmart, retiring in 2013. Nancy was of the Christian faith.
She had a true passion for arts and crafts, especially creating beautiful handmade earrings and necklaces. A talented baker, Nancy even received awards for her baking. She had a special love for M&M's and surrounded herself with a delightful collection of M&M-themed items throughout her home. She also enjoyed collecting PEZ dispensers and relaxing with her favorite television show, General Hospital.
Nancy was known as a kind, pleasant, and friendly woman who deeply loved her family and took pride in the home and memories she created with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Irene Schreiber. Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald John Hendershot; son, John Ronald Hendershot and wife Tracy of Davenport, Florida; daughter, Karen Nugent and husband David of Davenport, Florida; stepson, Dale Ronald Hendershot and wife Kellie of Bangor, Pennsylvania; brother, Jack Schreiber and wife Gerri of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; sisters, Marylou Simmons of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Paulette Melick and husband Gary of Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Brandon Nugent, Katelynn Hendershot, and John Hendershot; step-grandchildren, Ryan Hendershot and wife Megan, and Shana Sariska and husband Mike; step-great-grandchildren, Ember and Ashton Hendershot; along with several nieces and nephews.
Nancy's warmth, creativity, and love for life's small pleasures will be remembered always. Her kindness and gentle spirit leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her, and her memory will continue to bring comfort and smiles to her family in the years ahead.
