Nancy Jane Hinton

1936 - 2022

Hinton, Nancy Jane Of Jackson, MI went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the age of 86. She was born March 28, 1936 in Hillsdale, MI. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell (5/2000); her parents, Chester and Elsie (Layman) Morley; brother, Robert Frederick Morley; foster parents, Lutie and Ada Davis. She is survived by special niece, Marie Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; foster daughter, Karen Hemminger; three granddaughters, Bobbi, Michelle, and Brandi; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Nancy graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1954. She married Darrell April 11, 1958 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and reading. Nancy liked to travel and volunteer at Ella Sharp Museum. She worked at Crankshaft Machine and retired from Ingersoll CM Systems in Midland, MI. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00pm with Michael D. Mason officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jackson County Animal Shelter or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
