Nancy Duncan Horton

Nancy "Nan" Duncan Horton, 80, of 3375 Burlington Rd., Roxboro, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Born in Person County, Mrs. Horton was the daughter of the late Joe Edward and Mildred Seamster Duncan and wife of the late Douglas Chandler "DC" Horton. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Melton, Doris Clayton and Virginia Wilson. Alongside her husband, she operated Roseville Grocery for over 33 years. She was a member of New Life Independent Baptist Church.
Mrs. Horton is survived by her sons, Jeff Horton and Scott Horton and wife Heather, all of Raleigh; one brother, Darryl Duncan, of Roxboro; three sisters, Shirley Allison, Emily Gregory and Carolyn Oakley, all of Roxboro; five grandchildren, Caroline Chandler Horton, Benjamin Bradshaw Horton, Jackson Duncan Horton, Anna Scott Horton and Douglas August "Gus" Horton.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, September 26, 2022, at New Life Independent Baptist Church by Pastor Mike Whitt. A private burial for family only will follow. Those wishing to pay their respects may from 12-4PM Sunday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home with the family not in attendance.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
