Nancy Hunter Obituary
Nancy was born June 17, 1933 in Easley,SC to Wyatt and Daisy Welborn. She grew up in Easley attending Easley High School before attending and graduating from Converse College. Soon after graduation, Nancy married Robert W.(Bobby) Hunter Jr. of Greenville, SC. They had two sons.
In 1963, the family moved to Augusta, GA, where Nancy lived for over 40 years. After her retirement from her work as Richmond County GA Law Librarian, Nancy moved back to Greenville and enjoyed her life at Swansgate Community, meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends, playing bridge and mahjong.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Bobby and is survived by her sons Robert W. (Bo) Hunter III and his wife Lisa of Augusta, GA and William Wyatt Hunter of Toccoa, GA. Grandchildren Mary Virginia Hunter Tynan and her husband John of Columbia, SC and Jarrod Hunter of Biloxi, MS. Great grandchildren Jack Tynan and Ida Tynan of Columbia, SC. In addition, she is survived by her brother Michael Welborn (Nancy) of Easley, SC and sister-in-law Lib Hunter of Greenville, SC and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown from 1:30 to 2:30, after which they will have a private family burial.
