  Nancy M. Ide, age 75 died unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA

 The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Service at 2:30 PM, Friday November 1st at Jurrens Funeral Home, 1207 Park Dr., Rock Rapids, IA. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Vikings, Twins and Hawkeyes attire. 

     In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Ide family for later designation.

 Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of services.

  Nancy M. Ide was born December 3, 1948, in Calumet, Iowa, the daughter of Kurt and Eleanor (Sieh) Hoffmann. She was raised in Calumet and graduated from Sutherland High School. She continued her education at Nettleton Business School in Sioux City. 

  After college she began working for O’Brien County, Iowa as a Deputy Clerk of Court. She was united in marriage to Steve Ide on January 24, 1976, at the United Church of Christ in Primghar, IA. The couple moved to Rock Rapids, IA in 1980. Nancy was a stay-at-home mother, with three children. She later began working at the Rock Rapids Municipal City Office as a bookkeeper. She retired in 2014.

  Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Steve Ide of Rock Rapids, IA; three children, Stephen R. Ide of Rock Rapids, IA, Allison (Jason) Vogt of Sioux Falls, SD and Ashley Ide of Rock Rapids, IA; six grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriella and Giselle Vogt, Riley, Camdyn and Logan Ide; and many other extended families.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kurt and Eleanor Hoffmann; and her twin brother, Neil Hoffmann.
