Nancy-Jo Swallow Obituary
1946 - 2023
Nancy-Jo Swallow, spouse of Les Swallow of Danbury, CT passed away January 20, 2023.
She was born in Greenwich, CT and was a graduate of Greenwich High School, United Hospital School of Nursing and Western Connecticut State University. Nancy worked as an RN at Danbury Hospital in labor and delivery for 23 years then moved to New Milford Hospital's Family Birthing Center for 17 years.
Nancy is survived by her spouse, son Scott Swallow (Saryna Jones) of Woodbury, CT, daughters Kim Swallow of Woodbury, CT, Jennifer Torpey Apgar (Art Apgar) of Brookfield, CT and Amy Main of Danbury, CT, 11 grandchildren (the loves of her life) Matthew (Daniela) and Marissa Rosado, Gabriella and Gretchen Main, Macauley and Camden Torpey, Carter and Reece Apgar and Dean, Alyna and Evan Jones. Survivors also include her brother Tony Curto of Rosendale, NY, and sisters Michelina Hoelzle and Sylvia Curcuruto of Gulfport, FL, and Carol Curcuruto of Palm Harbor, FL. Other survivors include one niece, two nephews, two grandnephews and two uncles. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Sylvio Curcuruto.
There are no calling hours per Nancy's request. Interment private. Any donations can be made to the Children's Tumor Foundation (370 Lexington Avenue NY, NY 10017) or any organization in support of breast cancer.
