Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Lovell Hess and Dorothy (Harvey) Hess. She grew up surrounded by the love of her siblings, Sue Compson, Sonny Hess, Judy Samples, Dreama Truman, and Phyllis Painter and 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who will remember her fondly. Nancy's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, the late Jack Leon King, with whom she built a legacy of love and family.
A devoted mother, Nancy's life was enriched by her children, Diana Lee (late Randy) Bagwell, David Wayne (Julie Marie) King, and John Randall King. She was predeceased by her daughter, Deloris Jean King, whose memory remained a cherished part of her heart. Nancy's role as a homemaker was a testament to her dedication to her family's well-being, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter.
Nancy's professional life included years of dedicated service as a spinner at the mill, where she was known for her hard work and friendly demeanor. Her colleagues became an extended family, sharing in the joys and challenges of everyday life.
Family was the cornerstone of Nancy's world, and she nurtured her relationships with a loving and gentle hand. Her spirited nature was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Nancy's interests always circled back to her family, whether it was gathering for a meal, sharing stories, or simply being in the company of her loved ones.
