Nancy B. Krowicki

Nancy B. Kapr Krowicki, 85, of Erie, formerly of Scottdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, surrounded by her family, in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie. Nancy was born in Mt. Pleasant and was the daughter of the late Frank Kapr and Stella Czaja Kapr. Nancy attended St. John the Baptist School, Scottdale, graduated from the former Immaculate Conception High School in Connellsville, PA, and went on to attend Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. Nancy was a licensed funeral director and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She worked with her father and brother at their family funeral home, Frank Kapr Funeral Home in Scottdale. After marrying the love of her life, Joseph Vincent Krowicki, Nancy moved to Erie, and she and Joe started their family. They shared 57 years of marriage. Nancy and Joe lovingly raised two children, Deana Krowicki and Brian (Maureen) Krowicki. In addition to the joy she found in motherhood, Nancy loved being MeMe to her two grandchildren, William and Eliza Krowicki. She took great pride in her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments and was their steadfast supporter. Nancy also loved animals, those she shared her home with, including most recently golden retrievers Roxanne, Kalia, and finally, Roxie, and those cared for by organizations Nancy supported for many years, like the ANNA Shelter and Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary. Some of Nancy's best days were spent enjoying time with her family in her backyard surrounded by the beauty of Asbury Woods, watching her grandkids swim in the pool and her dogs run in the yard. In addition to Joe, Brian, Deana, Maureen, Will, and Eliza, Nancy's brother and sister-in-law, Frank (Sonny) and Rhenee Kapr of Scottdale; survive her as well as her nieces and nephews. All will miss her dearly. A private funeral liturgy will be held for immediate family members at DUSCKAS-MARTIN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC. The family asks that those wishing to honor Nancy's memory make a donation to the ANNA Shelter or Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary, both in Erie.
