In Loving Memory
A Life Remembered with Love
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nancy Joan Lange, who left us on September 21, 2025, at the age of 79, after a long and valiant fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her family, friends, love, and comfort in her final days.
Nancy was born in Neptune, New Jersey, on September 14, 1946. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and a cherished friend to many. She was an active member of the city of Cambridge where she lived for 26 years and of Wellfleet where she spent 30 wonderful summers at her home.
She is survived by her sons, Robert St. Clair and Steven St Clair and his wife Tisha and their son Miles, her granddaughter Hayley as well as many other relatives here and in Florida. They and her many friends will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Henri Lange and Maria Mullern Lange.
Nancy will be remembered as an outstanding, dedicated, innovative early childhood educator. She was a member of the Follow Through Magnet Program in the Cambridge Public Schools for 30 years. Her students in kindergarten loved the joy, caring and skills that she brought to them each day.
Nancy had so many interests. As an avid reader herself, she started a reading group which flourishes today after 20 years. She loved singing in the Mystic Chorale with her daughter-in-law Tisha, and also sang with the Cambridge Community Chorus. She
enjoyed all kinds of music, concerts at Tanglewood, folk songs, gospel and jazz. Nancy studied hard to become a Gallery Instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She shared her knowledge of art there and in the Boston Public Schools. She was a body surfer and swimmer. She created community wherever she went, making friends and keeping close to them. She was a Friend of Bill for 33 years.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held on October 4th at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington from 2:00-5:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a remarkable life well-lived.
