NANCY LEE LANNING
MASSENA- Nancy Lee Lanning, 80, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Nancy was born on November 18, 1944, in Massena, daughter of the late Hank and Catherine (Oney) Silver. She graduated from Massena High School and married Daniel Lanning.
She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW and American Legion. She enjoyed her time with both organizations and socializing with friends and family.
Nancy is survived by her children Travis Lanning of Massena; and Cindy Lanning of Watertown; her grandchildren Rachael Clark (and her fiancé Peter Nelligan) of Massena; Lee (Heather) Jenkins of Plattsburgh; Sierra Lanning (and her fiancé Austin Proper) of Massena; Alicia Haverstock (and her fiancé Noah Beckstead) of Massena; Cheyenne Lanning (and her companion Zackary Peregoy) of Potsdam; Claudia Haverstock of Massena; her great grandsons Kamrin and Bentley White, Maverick Jenkins, Parker Fenn, Markus Beckstead; and one sister Virginia Silver. Nancy was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great granddaughter, Opal Proper to be born in early 2026.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four siblings, Tim Silver, Danny Silver, Carol Gravlin and Laurie Keese.
