Nancy (Post, nee Bradford) Lonero, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025 at Brockton Post Acute Care in Brockton. She was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore Lonero. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Henry Chase Bradford and Marguerite Lillian (Ruggles) Bradford, and was raised and educated in West Bridgewater, and was a graduate of Howard High School. She attended Bridgewater State College for a brief period, but her passion was to pursue a career in teaching dance. She started the Nancy Bradford Dance Studio out of her home in West Bridgewater before relocating to Brockton where she showcased her skills and love of dance, teaching others various styles of dancing. At one time, Nancy operated four locations of the studio in Brockton, Kingston, Rockland & Marshfield before settling in the town of Abington. Miss Nancy retired from dance in 2017, and her daughter Terri took over the business. She was a past president of Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston, and was on the Board of Directors for most of her career. She also had a love of traveling, but above all, her family and love for her children and grandchildren were her greatest gift.
Nancy is survived by her children Robert H. Post and his wife Diane of Scarborough, Maine, Terrilyn Trunfio and her husband John of Brockton, and her stepsons James, Robert, and Christopher Lonero. She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert Maxwell Post, Nicholas Ryan Trunfio, and Kristen Ashley Lonero. She also leaves behind her nephew Henry Chase Bradford III, 3 generations of nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Marie White, as well as several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Henry Chase Bradford, Jr., and her stepson Dennis Lonero.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27) Stoughton, on July 10th from 4-7 PM. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital at https://giving.childrenshospital.org/
