Nancy Elizabeth MacKinnon, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025. Born on April 24, 1949, Nancy was the daughter of the late Herman D. and Eleanor E. (Brigham) MacKinnon.

After graduating from Uxbridge High School, Nancy spent much of her life as a resident of Boston. She was a true city spirit who immersed herself in Boston and remained a lifelong, passionate fan of the Red Sox.

Nancy's professional career was highlighted by her dedicated service as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Herbert Benson. In her role she supported pioneering research on mind-body medicine and the relaxation response, a field that changed many lives.

Throughout her life, Nancy enjoyed to travel and express herself through creative projects. She also had a love for cats, especially her cherished Trixie.

She is survived by her brother, Douglas MacKinnon of Uxbridge (husband of the late Julie MacKinnon), and her sister-in-law, Joan MacKinnon of Uxbridge (wife of the late Robert MacKinnon), her nephews, Keith MacKinnon of Douglas, MA, and Cory MacKinnon of Coatesville, PA, and her niece, Eleanor Chase of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves behind her great-niece and great-nephews: Layla, Raylan, Landon, and Mack, all who she adored.

Family and friends will fondly remember Nancy for her remarkable memory and a quick, clever wit that could brighten any conversation.

Funeral services will be held privately.
