Nancy went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on February 3, 1935 to the late Robert and Margaret (Burns) Barrowman in Bay City, MI. Nancy prioritized family and friends above anything in life. Nancy was a true social butterfly who thrived in the company of others. Nancy was an avid reader, a collector of many things, and enjoyed rummage sales. Nancy retired from the former Bay Medical Center with over 30 years of service.
Nancy placed being a mother above any other title in her life. Nancy is survived by her children, Jodi Wachowiak, Robert Markillie (Sue), and Margaret Lupton. Grandchildren, Matthew and Nathan Wachowiak, Sarah Tracy, Elizabeth Clare, Rachel Markillie, Rebekah Dault, and Sophia Wachowiak. Her brother, Gerald (Marianne) Barrowman, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby (Pat) Barrowman, Patricia (Dick) Monville, and her son, David Wachowiak.
Funeral service for Nancy will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bay Valley Christian Church. Co-Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Lee and Nancy’s son, Robert Markillie. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors at Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
