Nancy B. Mautz, 79, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home. She was born July 31, 1942 in Evansville to the late Dorothy (Briezius) and Raymond J. Schweigert.
Nancy graduated from Memorial High School in 1960 and received her Master's Degree in Education from University of Evansville. She started her career in the art department at Memorial High School and worked for several Evansville Vanderburgh County Schools before retiring after 35 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Shari) Mautz of Newburgh; grandchildren, Kayli Mautz and Cameron Mautz; great granddaughters, Victoria Corral (Luis Corral) and Melody Mautz; sister-in-law, Shelia Schweigert of Houston, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years in August of this year, Lynn E. Mautz; son, Anthony Mautz; and brother, Donald Schweigert.

Private family services will be held at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville with Father Bernie Etienne officiating.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

I Had Mrs. Mautz as an art teacher in the eighth grade at Tekoppel School. She was the kindest teacher ever! So sorry for your loss, prayers for your family.

Ken, So sorry to learn of your moms passing. I have so many fond memories of all the time spent at your house. She was always welcoming and made me feel part of the family. Blessings to you. Dave.
