Nancy Ann McCormick

Nancy A. (Salisbury) McCormick, 68, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I., surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph P. McCormick for 22 years. Born in New Rochelle, New York, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Aurelia (Limardi) Salisbury.

Nancy was the loving mother of Maryann Wheatley (Jameson), Joe T. Rosi (Ashley), and Sheri L. Pellegrino; step-mother of Joseph D. McCormick and Juliana Colon; grandmother of Talia, Jaden, Jordan, and Mason; sister of George Salisbury, Peggy Lemonde, and Frank Salisbury. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a phlebotomist and CNA, working at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence and Kent County Hospital in Warwick before retiring. She dedicated her career to healthcare, where her calling to help people truly shined. Caring for others was never just a job for her it was who she was. Whether she was comforting a patient, supporting a coworker, or advocating for someone in need, she gave her whole heart. Her kindness left a lasting mark on everyone she encountered.

She sacrificed endlessly, loved unconditionally, and taught us by example what it means to be generous, patient, and kind. Her home was always filled with warmth, care, and an open door for anyone who needed it.

She had a rare gift of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Even in her hardest moments, she thought of others before herself. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, the love she gave so freely, and the values she instilled in all of us.

Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful to have been loved by such an extraordinary woman. She will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered.

Her funeral will be private.
