Nancy Jane McDonald

Nancy Jane Goodman McDonald, age 90, of Cameron, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her son, Nelson's home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Moore County, NC on September 5, 1932 to the late Earl Goodman and Bessie Oakley Goodman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 63 years, Nelson Irman McDonald, Sr. Mrs. McDonald was a faithful member of Cameron United Methodist Church and was a good wife and good mother to her family. She worked many years in the cafeteria for Carthage Elementary and Union Pines. She also enjoyed working in the lady's department of BC Moore Department Store.
She is survived by her sons Nelson Irman McDonald, Jr., and wife Genelle of Cameron, Terry Earl McDonald and wife Annette of New London; grandchildren Ashley Nall and Stetson, Amanda McDonald and great-grandchildren Weston and Walker Nall.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cameron United Methodist Church and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bill Altman and Chaplain Sarah Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Cameron Community Cemetery. The family will also receive friends at Nelson & Genelle's home.
