Nancy Mercer Obituary
Nancy Lutie (McComas) Mercer, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born December 27, 1936 in Jeffersonville Indiana.
Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in bowling and embarking on shopping trips for her beloved grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary not only for her but also for her family, where many cherished memories were made. Nancy's love for her family was boundless, and she dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her loved ones throughout her life. She loved the Christmas holiday and always looked forward to buying gifts and spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of over 62 years, Ken Mercer; her daughter, Kimberly (Stephen) Gambill; her treasured grandchildren, Hannah Gambill and Joshua Gambill; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose Gambill and Milo Oliver Gambill.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alton McComas and Anna Mae McComas; as well as her siblings, Brooks McComas, Myra Underwood, and Lucille Jo Curtis.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in New Albany.
