Nancy Faye Miller, age 85, of the Tipton Hill Community, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Green Brier, WV to the late George and Francis Phipps Hiser. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers: Harold, Lewis and Danny Hiser; and sisters: Thelma Flack and Nina Hiser.
Nancy was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and her home. Her kitchen was always a place of comfort because of her cooking and her love could always be felt in meals she prepared. Nancy loved simple pleasures like spending quiet moments reading books or working word search puzzles. She was strong in her faith and attended Covey Rock Freewill Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her heart overflowed with love for her husband, children and grandchildren. Nancy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.
Left to cherish Nancy's memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Royce Miller of the home; daughters: Roycene Jones (Terry) of Green Mountain, NC and Melissa Johnston (Clayton) of Pawleys Island, SC; son, Benjy Johnston of WV; grandchildren: Erika Pipkin (John) of Tallahassee, FL, Kyle Deyton, Nathan, Samuel and Dalton Jones all of Green Mountain, NC, Lindsay Moore (Eric) of Burnsville, NC and Jennifer Johnston of WV; brother, Frank Hiser (Louise) of WV. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 in the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Terry Jones will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Terry Jones, Clayton Johnston, Kyle Deyton, Nathan, Samuel and Dalton Jones.
