Mrs Nancy Irene Mitchell

Devoted Mother and grandmother Nancy Irene Webb Mitchell, 84 of Waynesville passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Buncombe County on November 14, 1926 to the late Mack and Zelvie Mathis Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Mitchell who passed away in 1989. She is survived by a son, Bradley Dean Mitchell and his wife, Kathy, of Waynesville, a daughter, Joyce Ann Trantham and her husband, Terry, of Waynesville, four grandchildren, Conley Bradley, Tina Green, Brandy Rice and Shannon Conner, great grandkids Prisilla Bradley, Brianna Green, Tyler Evans, Ashley Conner, Isaac Evans, Dakota Green, Hailey Rice, Lucas Bradley, and Landry Conner; and a great great grandchild, Lelan Reece. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Neil Roland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
