Nancy Fay Moore (Leu) passed peacefully at home with family at her side on November 26th, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Born in Fremont, Nebraska on October 5, 1972, Nancy had a large, loving family spanning the midwest. She met her husband of 31 years, John, while he was attending Midland University in Fremont. The two moved back and forth between Wyoming and Nebraska, and most recently, El Paso, Texas where Nancy had her dream house, large enough to host their many guests over the years.
Her creativity and passion were as boundless as her generosity. Nancy was always an encouraging, enthusiastic voice and loved to share her hobbies with others. She loved to work on miniatures and had a particular affinity for anything Victorian. No project was too big for her to pursue. She had an eye for detail and it shows in her work; every shingle was perfectly aligned, the books on the shelves had tiny pages within the covers, and all the furniture was stained by hand. Nancy always appreciated high fashion, evident by her collection of designer bags and shoes she acquired over the years. She tried nearly every craft you could think of, and approached each with the same vigor and passion. She was a skilled seamstress, an avid reader (she was especially fond of Charles Dickens), history buff, and a wonderful cook with many recipes her loved ones will pass along.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John, their three children and their families, Julia (Erik), James (Josh), and Bernadette (Antonio); her sisters Wendy and Kathy, and her brother Monty; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all, including her cats Calvin and Dorothy, and her dogs Bocephus and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents Divita (Dale) and Edgar (Lyle) Leu.
