Nancy Chatfield Moore, 95, passed away on March 16, 2025. She was born in Hoosick Falls, NY, and made Bluff City her home for the rest of her life.
Nancy was a devoted deacon at Blountville Presbyterian Church and a longtime employee of Bill Gatton Chevrolet in Bristol. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her evening scotch cocktail and never missed a New York Giants game - often expressing her passion for the team.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Moore; daughter, Patricia M. Chavous; parents, Ruth and George Chatfield; and aunt, Katrine Gleason.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Timothy A. Moore (Phyllis) and Thomas R. Moore; son-in-law, Austin E. Chavous; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind cherished friends Mary Castle, Kevin and Charlotte Barb, and Geneva Taylor.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Blountville, TN, followed by a funeral and committal service beginning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dennis Milhorn.
Pallbearers will be Ben Chavous, Toby Moore, David Balfour and various family members. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Moore and Thomas Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 1 Music Cir. S. 230, Nashville, TN 37203.
