She was born on July 23, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Marvin and Kathryn (Attwood) Murphy. Nancy was a Maine East High School graduate. She received her Bachelors Degree from Milton College. Nancy graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with her Masters Degree. She married Miles Capstick on March 30, 1985 at the Church by the Side of the Road, Rockton, IL.
Nancy was formerly employed by the Beloit School System as an elementary school teacher until her retirement in June 2003. She enjoyed reading and being with her dogs. Nancy loved being outdoors, nature, and looking for eagles. She cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Miles Capstick; step daughter, Dawn (Curt) Brannon; step son, Scott (Jessie) Capstick; many other loving family members.
