Nancy Niehoff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aspen Mortuaries - Arvada on Sep. 10, 2025.
Nancy Elaine Niehoff, 68, was born November 18, 1956, in Pittsburg, Ks. Died on July 20, 2025, in Arvada, Colorado. Nancy was a Down Syndrome child born to John G. and Ella R. Niehoff.

Nancy enjoyed attending Absolute Adult Daycare Center. While at daycare she enjoyed many activities such as music, dancing, bowling and coloring. She also enjoyed the outings and socializing with the other attendees. In her younger years, Nancy attended special education schools. She also participated in the Special Olympics and was awarded several medals. One of her hobbies was doing latch hooking, then gifting them to her family members. Nancy loved reading the Bible and would spend Sunday afternoon doing her Bible study.

Nancy was special to her family and Nancy's greatest joy was spending time with her family or as Nancy would say "her flamily". Nancy always amazed us; it brought joy and big smiles to everyone she met.

Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents John and Ella Niehoff, brother Elmer Niehoff, sister Lola May Niehoff, nephew Paul David Thornsberry, sister-in-law Carol Niehoff, sister-in-law Marge Niehoff and sister-in-law Sandra Lee. Survived by brothers and sisters; Charles Niehoff, Phylliss Thornsberry, John (Sandi) Niehoff Jr., Ronald (Val) Niehoff, Daryle Niehoff, Mary (Ernie) Senecal, Tammy (Kevin) Lampe. Nancy's large family also includes 17 nieces and nephews, and 35 great nieces and nephews.

Nancy's uncanny way of making us all feel loved will be greatly missed.

The viewing will be from 9:00a.m to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 26,2025 followed by the funeral service at 10:00a.m. at Aspen Mortuaries, Arvada. The burial will be at 1pm at Resthaven Cemetery, Fort Collins.
