Nancy C. Noonan

Nancy C. Noonan, age 96, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was born June 29, 1929 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Dr. James Joseph & Beatrice Noonan.

Nancy was born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended high school at St. Clara Academy in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. After graduating with a degree in Education from the University of Iowa, she decided to see the world. She first went to teach in Southern California, and then joined the Department of Defense Schools to teach children of the military stationed abroad; living and working in Japan and Germany. She loved travel, skiing, reading, and her friends, family & pets. Unfailingly kind with a delightful sense of humor, she will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her sister, Debby Hennelly; her nieces & nephews: Sheila (Anthony) McCormick, Robert (Kris) Hennelly, James (Jackie) Hennelly & Lori Scott; and numerous great-nephews & great-niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Honorah Noonan; and her nephew John Hennelly.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9:30am until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, Illinois 60187. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Memorial gifts may be directed to American Cancer Society, St. Michael Catholic Church or DuPage County Animal Rescue.
