Nancy Parcell

Nancy Tuttle Parcell passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. She was born December 6, 1945, in Jersey City, New Jersey and eventually resided in Martinsville, Virginia, where she met and married the love of her life, John. They married in 1965 and had 2 daughters, Kim and Cindy.

John and Nancy opened Bassett Office Supply in 1971 where Nancy's sales skills thrived. She also developed many friendships over the years with their loyal employees and customers. She and John worked tirelessly to make the business successful, and she was so proud to see their daughter Kim and son-in-law Manly continue their dream when they assumed leadership of the company.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and beloved cat Tigger. She also enjoyed playing the piano, cooking and baking delicious cakes from scratch that she loved to share.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Vach, Kim Boyd and her husband Manly Boyd; and beloved grandchildren, Anne Banks Boyd and Basil Boyd. She was predeceased by her husband, John Parcell; parents, Marvin and Edith Tuttle; brothers, Bill and Buddy Tuttle; and son-in-law, Josh Vach.

Kim and Cindy want to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Karen Carter for her love and care for Nancy over the years, during which time she became like a member of the family.

The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. A Celebration of Nancy's life will follow visitation beginning at 1 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. Interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
