Nancy Perillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. - Hopewell Junction on Jan. 9, 2024.
HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Nancy Perillo, 78, an area resident for over 51 years, passed away on January 6, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Nancy was born in Yonkers on December 2, 1945. She grew up surrounded by warmth and happiness in a loud, but extremely loving Italian family on Maple Street. Nancy was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Orsini) Manzo. Mama P will be remembered as a passionate cook whose skills will remain unmatched, particularly in Italian and Spanish dishes. In addition to cooking, she was equally talented as a baker. She spent many devoted hours working in the Shop Rite bakery. Nancy was an avid reader who enjoyed word games, Murder She Wrote, shopping (especially Shop Rite), loved animals and the NY Yankees (Jeter!) Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, friends, and her beloved animals. Nancy always enjoyed starting her day with a cup of coffee and toast with her best friend, Mary Ellen (Mar) Schilling.
Nancy married her soulmate Frank Perillo on September 12, 1971 at Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers. Their love and marriage can be defined as "two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one." Her husband of 52 years survives at home. She is also survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Frisenda and Nancy Ann Perillo; her brothers and their spouses, Anthony and Angela Manzo and Frank and Agnes Manzo; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Louis and Louise Perillo and Marie Perillo; nieces and nephews, Stephen, Manny, Sherry, Louis, Philip, Deanna, Anthony, Angela and Frankie; and her grandpuppies, Grayce, Gigi and Dixon.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3 – 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
Donations may be made in memory of Nancy to Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.
