Nancy Pivec Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 2, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Nancy Ellen Pivec on February 24, 2026. She is survived by her daughter Lauren Kubat, daughter Anitra Fenderson and her husband Tripp, and her granddaughters Teagan and Ayn Fenderson. She is also survived by a large extended family and group of friends & neighbors who loved her immensely.

Nancy was born and raised in East Baltimore, and her Baltimore pride was strong - always rooting for her Ravens & Orioles… even when they didn't play up to her standards. Her roots and experiences from growing up on Luzerne Avenue were extremely important to her. She stayed in touch with friends from St. Elizabeth's School & Patterson Park High School throughout her life and often shared beloved stories from the old neighborhood.

For the past 35 years, she was the matriarch of the Pivec family. She loved her family dearly and encouraged us all to stay as connected as possible, even as our own families grew and changed over time. She was always the first to suggest get-togethers, and forced us to take family photos… even when we didn't want to. (Something we are all thankful for now.) Nancy loved to sing & perform - everything from karaoke, to singing with a band for a few years, to Paint & Powder productions. She enjoyed traveling as well - going to many wonderful places like Spain, Ireland, St. Thomas, USVI, and New York City to see musicals. She was a huge fan of game shows, and it was so frustrating to watch Wheel of Fortune with her because she could get the puzzles SO quickly! In recent years, she went to Trivia events each week with friends and was so proud when her team did well or won. She made friends everywhere she went and never knew a stranger.

She was an incredible daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she fulfilled each role with strength, grace, and deep love. May she rest easy, reunited with her beloved parents, brothers, and dear friends who have gone before her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared as soon as possible. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the fund that was created to help cover the medical bills incurred during her lengthy hospital stay. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-nancy-pivecs-medical-fund
