Nancy Ragle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chandler Funeral Home - Ellettsville Chapel on Mar. 30, 2026.
Nancy Carol Ragle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Bloomington, IN, at the age of 88. Born on January 31, 1938, in the small town of Stinesville, IN, Nancy lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family.

Nancy was the cherished wife of James "Jim" Ragle, with whom she shared an extraordinary journey of 69 years of marriage. Their love story began when they married on June 30, 1956, and together they built a beautiful family and life. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband Jim, who stood by her side through every joy and challenge. She was a proud and loving mother to her two daughters, Linda Games, married to Troy, and Julie Ragle, married to Joe Kerr. Nancy's legacy of love extends to her grandchildren, Amber Ragle-Wright, married to Brandon, C.J. Breeden, married to Jena, and Cory Breeden. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Kinley Wright, Izzy and Jackson Breeden, Donovan Wright, whose companion is Allie Sarver, and Jazlyn Wright and her great-great-granddaughter, Layla Wright. Nancy's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her loving, generous, and selfless nature. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was a dedicated worker, having spent many years at RCA and Cook Urological in Spencer. Nancy also pursued her passion for hairdressing, working in various salons and even running her own shop from home.

Nancy was an avid mushroom hunter, spending countless hours exploring the woods in search of nature's treasures. She also had a deep affection for her dogs, who were her loyal companions throughout her life.

In addition to her immediate family, Nancy is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Patty Noel, Peggy Henderson, and Doris Galloway, as well as her parents, Emery and Bertha Litten.
