Nancy Ann Rasmusson
On the morning of June 25, 2025, Nancy Ann Rasmusson (Hadley) passed peacefully from this world at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She is now reunited with her husband of 56 years, Norman, who preceded her 7 years prior.
Nancy was born November 18, 1931, the only child of Paul and Lois (Cripe) Hadley of
Toledo, OH. Nancy's love for reading, learning and travel began as a child and continued throughout her life. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1953 with a BS in Education and a BA in Spanish and English. She traveled extensively throughout Europe while living and working in Spain and Germany. Nancy earned a Master of Arts Degree in Literature, Science and Art in Romance Language and Spanish Literature from The University of Michigan in 1962.
Nancy taught Spanish and English in Toledo and Ottawa Hills, was a substitute teacher in Perrysburg schools, a loving parental caregiver for many years and ended her working years with Hayes Travel Agency in Perrysburg. For more than 64 years, as a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maumee, Nancy was a long-time member of the choir, very involved on many committees and devoted countless hours to the library and history projects of the church. Near and dear to her heart was P.E.O., the Toledo Museum of Art, playing bridge, reading and discussing books with friends, attending theater and orchestra concerts. Family and many, many friends were always near and very dear to her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Norman. She is survived by her children, Donald (Janet) Rasmusson, Cynthia (David) Shiver, Paul Rasmusson, and Gail (William) Fader; grandchildren, Dr. Erin Rasmusson (Brent Ryman), Kurt (Kelly) Rasmusson, Troy Logan, Dana (Chad) Jacobs, Eric, Jay, and Anna Rasmusson, William (Kelly) Fader, Trisha (Mark) Malloy, Adam (Sydney) Fader; and 10 great-grandchildren. She dearly loved each of them.
Services will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, 200 East Broadway St., Maumee, OH 43537. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and a memorial service will take place in the main sanctuary at 11:30 a.m. Acknowledgements of sympathy may be directed to the church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or P.E.O.
